We have recently purchased Toshiba QOSMIO X75-A7295 with Windows 8 Home edition.

How do we downgrade the windows 8 Home edition to Window 7 enterprise 64 bit

I have also tried going into the BIOS to change the boot order but it does not boot from the Windows7 DVD but boots up windows8

How I install Windows 7 in Toshiba QOSMIO X75-A7295
.Do i need to change any other setting in BIOS.

How do we resolve this issue?

Thanks

Hi

Go to BIOS.
Disable the secure boot, and change from UEFI to CSM mode.
Save the changes and now you should be able to boot from Win 7 disk.

Feedback much appreciated.

Thanks TomDexter and Macius

I really appreciate your detailed instructions.

I found the following details on the right side of BIOS Advanced Option while select the boot Mode

"Select the boot Mode

.(UEFI Boot )
Support to boot any UEFI-capable OS.
(CSM Boot )
Support to boot non UEFI-capable OS that expects a legacy BIOS interface. This item does not revert back to its default value by Load Setup Defaults Action ".

I need to clarify this .Now we are planning to install Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 . If I select CSM boot on BIOS.. In future we may need to upgrade this laptop to Windows 8.1 Pro . . Is it possible to change the boot mode CMS boot to UEFI Boot on Futur .
Please inform me .It can or cannot ?

Can I go ahead with installation of Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 on this laptop Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7295 now

Many thanks and regards
Jasim.

Why not. Of course you can do this. OD downgrade has nothing to do with BIOS and BIOS will not change at all.

If your notebook can boot from Win7 installation disc and Win7 set-up works properly you can do this.
