I got a brand new Toshiba NB520-11P as a present, the one with Harman/Kardon speakers. The problem is, the sound is crackling and sounds terrible. Not always, but you can't listen to music or use Skype, most of the sound is too messy. Speakers itself seem good and sound is nice, but the crackle ruins everything. The sound continued to crackle when connecting headphones, so I guess it can't be the speakers then?
I don’t know if this will help but try please to reinstall original recovery image again and test it playing some mp3 file using preinstalled Windows media player.
I tried recovering windows to the state it was when I first opened it, but still the crackling. Where do I get the original image file? I have preinstalled Windows 7 Starter.
