TOSHIBA TV 26EL800A - TV is ON but the screen remains blank

Hi All,

I have a Toshiba TV 26EL800A purchased in May this year. Tried to turn on the TV using the remote from standby ( red light ) to On ( green light ) which the remote did - The screen remains blank ( like there is no power ) and after a few seconds the light changes back to red -standby again.

Tried this using the buttons on the TV as well and same thing happens ( have checked batteries to remote , checked powepoint ( my dvd player runs of the same 2 plug and this is working ) but do not know what else is causing the screen not to power up ?

Any suggestions ?

I really don’t know if you will find solution here on computer systems forum.
What you can try is to disconnect TV from the mains, leave it for a while and check it again.

If the same happen again and again I recommend you to contact your local dealer and ask for help or contact Toshiba service provider directly.

I have the same tv 26EL800a I have the same problem.Red light on, click remote or power button, green comes on for 20 seconds then power light goes back to red.
what is the proble and what is the answer.?????
