Is warranty only applicable when bought from an authorised reseller?

Hi,

Is the standard manufacturer warranty only applicable when I purchase a product ( a laptop) from an authorised reseller or retailer?

Or, is it applicable even if a new product is purchased from some place else (i.e. - someone not an authorised reseller or retailer)?

As far as I know it’s no matter from where you have bought the notebook.
You will need an purchase receipt to register the warranty
