WLan indicator is ON even if WLan FN+F8 is OFF

i've formatted my pc with a new version of windows 7...and so i've to install every driver

i've istalled the fn driver but it doesn't recognize the wifi...fn+f8 change only bluetooth
and the led of connectivity is always turned on..even if my wifi is off
before the formatting it was off if both are off

Hi

Can you please tell us which notebook model do you have exactly?
Have you installed right Wlan driver?
Is Wlan driver recognized and listed properly in device manager?

Hi

Remove the battery and AC adaptor.
Wait some hours (2-3 hours) and then press Power button.
Then insert the battery and connect AC adaptor and check if the indicator would be on even if the WLan is disabled.
Legend
