Toshiba AC adapter 2 weeks out of warranty

I was very disappointing to find out that Toshiba will not honor warranty for the AC adapter as its 2 weeks out of warranty. What happened to good will and good gestures.

I used to work for a service department and we would always honor warranty for products just outside the warranty period. I know its not an expensive item, but just a good will gesture, perhaps send me a working used or refurbished AC adapter might of been nice.

Hello Nicko

On one side I agree with you on another side every serius company has defined rules how all this works. Every Toshiba service provider is small independent company that have contract with Toshiba and they must follow defined rules about warranty or good will gestures.

Believe me I know several cases where Toshiba has made such actions. I don’t know how you have spoken with the people who work there but usually there is always a way to get something for free.

Anyway, if you cannot get it for free order new AC adapter on eBay. It is really not expensive and definitely not the reason to be so disappointed.
