Hello.

After having sought help in the forum to find the driver on my Laptop Satellite M100-191 PSMA0E, I installed windows xp and the driver's.

What happens is that when trying to update the bios by windows , the computer asked me to save the old bios and before I do something and he was thus blocked for almost 1 hour.

I disconnected and then reconnected and now nothing appears.
It turns on and i can see the dvd drive to work, but nothing appears on the image of the portable.,

Someone can help recover the BIOS, because I think I screwed up here

Thanks
PauPau

Hmm… seems something went wrong during the update…

Damn… that’s really odd… in worst case you will need to send the notebook to an Toshiba ASP to get the ROM module flashed again…

But try the workaround in this thread:

the user ale210 has had similar issue and fortunately found a solution.

Hello!

for not to make blunders I went to toshiba authorized service center here I Portugal.

They told me that this happened because I was not using a charger from toshiba, but a universal charger..

When you do an updating bios should have an original charger from toshiba.

Can you or anibody confirm if this is true?

Tnaks

Well, I cannot confirm this but fact is that not compatible AC adaptor can affect the notebook functionality and in worst case it can damage the hardware parts…
