Hi All,

I'm New here so apologize if done wrong or info overload?

I Have A TOSHIBA QOSMIO X770-11C (notebook),

OS=MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1,
CPU=Intel Core i7 2720QM @ 2.20GHz,Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
(RAM)=8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24),
MOBO=Manufacturer:TOSHIBA PGRAA (CPU 1),Southbridge Model:HM65,Southbridge Revision:B2,
BIOS=Brand:TOSHIBA,Version:1.70,Date:02/10/2012,
GRAPHICS=173HT02-T01 (1920x1080@60Hz), 1535MB GeForce GTX 560M (Toshiba),
SSD=250GB M4-CT256M4SSD2 (SATA-SSD),
HDD=488GB TOSHIBA TOSHIBA MK5061GSYN (SATA), WOW that was copied from "SPECCY" (summary)!!!

PLEASE as ive just installed a "CRUCIAL M4256GB SSD 6Gb/s" I'm aware that they are compatible with the "Reverse" 3Gb/s (SATA INTERFACE)

IS there any way I CAN CHANGE this to be used in the 6Gb/s (SATA INTERFACE) ???

IF so please HELP ME!

Hi

The notebook seems to support the Intel HM65 chipset:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/value-chipsets/mobile-chipset-hm65.html

According to the Intel specification page, the chipset provides up to 6 SATA ports at 3 Gb/s with up to 2 ports supporting 6 Gb/s transfer rates. Also the CPU should support the SATA III but I’m not quite sure about the BIOS support…

Download and run Crystal Disk Info, this free utility should specify the SATA generation.
