I have a new L750 and have completed all the updates etc.
However, IE9 only shows the 32 bit option in programs - the 64 bit version is missing.
I've uninstalled IE9 to revert to IE8 and then re-installed to no avail, I've also downloaded and installed the hotfix to overcome and update issues - again to no avail.
I have a number of computers in the house - a Samsung laptop, Acer laptop, self built PC runnning Windows 7 ultimate and an Acer Desktop.
All run Windows 7 64 bit and all have the two IE9 versions available. Only this laptop is affected. It's as though it thinks it's a 32 bit operating system |(which i isn't!)

Hi,
It's shown as a 64 bit system. I've tried that link earlier today and reinstalled IE9 using it, but the symptoms remain exactly the same - the 32 bit version of IE9 is in the programs list (start/programs), but there is no 64 bit version shown.........

Aha - found it, thanks for that.
However on all my other laptops and desktops, the two versions are shown in the start menu (start/all programs), but on this laptop only the 32 bit is shown. I've tried dragging the icon over/pinning it to the start menu etc, but all that does is pin a shortcut that then opens two taskbar windows when selected. Any idea how I get the 64 bit version to sho up in start/all programs in the same way as the 32 bit version does (and as it does on all my other pc's)?

You can pin the internet explorer 64 bit in the notification area / taskbar.
Open the internet explorer 64 bit, and then about the IE icon in the taskbar, press the right mouse button and then “pin this program to taskbar”
