Dynadock U3.0 - unable to connect to network

I have a Dynadock U3.0 and when attempting to connect to the network at work via network cable, the settings were not automatically detected.
I then set manual details (IP), but this did not rectify the problem.
I have assigned through DHCP that the Dynadock should be getting a certain IP.
I still have an issue.
Also, when left on DHCP, the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 which is wierd.
Has anyone else had difficulties connecting their Dynadock to their network??
I am using a laptop from an other Manufaction, running Windows 7, 64 bit.

I have found a solution.
updating to the latest software available from toshiba for the dynadock fixes this issue.
software provided with hardware is V6.1
to fix issue, it is required to download software V6.2 from toshiba support website.
Also note, that windows 7 doesn't automatically recognise that this software update is available.
