Hi.

Can anyone help me with the use of WAN/WIMAX function.

It is never on, at least the lite indicator , the one after the wireless connectin to the right(no 8 in the instruction book) it is never lightening.

As per instruction book I understood that the light should be on if the WAN/WIMAX receiver is on and to flash or something if is any network received.

I cant find anywhere how to start the device .

Thank you for the help and sorry for my english.

Hi,

I may be wrong, but i think this laptop hasn't got a built-in WAN.
I have a Toshiba P755 with a light indicator after the wireless one, but without a built-in WAN.

Hi

Only some models are equipped with the Wlan WAN/WiMAX function.
The Wlan WAN/WiMAX indicator glows red when the Wlan WAN/WiMAX function are turned on.
In some models the indicator will glow and blink in order to indicate the connection status.

But if the Wlan WAN/WiMAX functionality is not available, the indicator would stay OFF.

As far as I know this notebook supports an Atheros 802.11(b/g/n)WB195-HMCWlan card with BT functionality but WAN/WiMAX is not supported.
