Qosmio X770-11C - function buttons stopped working
Posted: 02-Jun-2012 00:27

functions buttons have stopped working - reason unknown because no special actions performed - pc recover function used to a known point that the buttons were ok - no result - latest VAP 1.5.15.64 installed - no result - BIOS 1.70 is installed

What happen when you restart your notebook?
Can you use these buttons again?

Hi

You need to uninstall the VAP firstly.
Then clean the registry using CCleaner.
Reboot several times and repeat the CCleaner registry cleaning until no error would be visible…
Then try the installation of VAP again…

VAP uninstalled, then with
ccleaner all errors removed, reinstalled VAP. Tried several times without success!

Helpful
Installed the VAP V1.6.0022.640207 without success! Can VAP be configured or activated somewhere?
On the link below another suggestion ! Can that be tried without any risk?

Yes, you can try this out …
Now sure if it would be helpful but it worth a try…
Remove AC adaptor, then the main battery, press and hold power button 30sec long…
Connect battery and AC adaptor again, access the BIOS, set it to default, save changes and boot again…
