Hello,

I have Toshiba Qosmio X770-107, and sometimes lots of line and different colors appear on the screen and after that Notebook is freezing. I can only shutting down the computer by pressing the power button for fixing it and getting back it to normal.

I updated latest bios and graphic driver, before and after nothing change, the problem still exist. For now, it is only appearing during normal usage (means that just surfing on the net, or doing nothing, etc -not during playing games-) It is really weird. I am not sure it is a Toshiba's software or hardware problem. I just buy it about 1.5 month before, so it is new.

Any suggestion about problem and its answer.

Thanks and regards.
Tonny

Hi

Sounds weird and a little bit like a graphic card problem.
Would strongly recommend monitoring this issue and to get in contact with an local ASP (authorized service partner).

After my last post (about 1 month ago), the problem which i mentioned at first message, replied itself 3 times on routine daily work ... And during the games, when i installed and play H.A.W.X 2, this problem repeated itself continuously, when i exit or alt-tab the game (for now, freezing problem re-appears only on HAWX2)

As additional to first problem, exactly about 2 weeks, at the start-ups, it takes 5-8 min. to start the computer with low resolution like 800x600 windows start-up screen.

Really i couldn't solve it yet, i don't know what is causing the problem... Maybe i should return factory drivers....

If these problems makes the life more difficult to me at the future, then i am planning to take help from local ASP. Because they are terrible at costumer rights. Really they are NOT helpful... Also I have awful experiences previously owned 3 Qosmio about ASP issue ...

As mentioned by Tonny… it could be GPU issue… of course try the GPU driver from Toshiba page but since your warranty should be still valid I would not waste the time in order to check the GPU…
If warranty is valid the fix should be done free of charge… if you will wait longer you could lose the warranty coverage…
