For some time now my X500 will 'freeze' then give me a black screen before returning to 'normal' with an error window showing on the task bar. The error read'
"Dispaly driver stopped responding and has recovered Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal Mode Driver, Version 259.12 stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
Have run a diagnostic on the laptop and searched for updated NVIDIA drivers etc., but this continues to happen.
Any ideas on the causes AND more to the point HOW to resolve this issue?
I'd post a screen grab of the error message but can't locate how this is done - if it is allowed?
I assume this is caused by graphic chip… it could be possible that the graphic card driver caused some problems in connection with “bad” entries in the registry or in worst case the graphic chip might malfunction.
