Tecra A11 - Cannot burn CD-R
Posted: 14-May-2012 14:58

Hi,

my Tecra A11 with Win 7 Pro 64 and a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ890AS is not able to burn on a CD-R. CD-RW and DVD is no problem but when trying to burn a CD-R I got following Error Code: 060277-26-2A031000

I tried the solution in
http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Computer-Troubleshooting/Error-code-380381-26-2a031000/td-p/172666
  • without success. There are no upper/lower filter keys in my registry.

I tried CD-Rs from 3 different brands, I tried CDBurnerXP and the Toshiba Disc Creator - always the same error. There is written the track list (copying a music CD) and then the error appears. The CD-R is not usable any more after this.

What can I do? Is it possible to flash the firmware of the DVD-Drive - if yes, where can I get the fw?
Thanks in advance!
MasterG

Correct
Hi

What brands did you try?
I use TDK –R and they functions properly.

Additionally I recommend cleaning the laser lens using cotton wool tip and alcohol.
Had also problems reading and burning some disks which have been solved after cleaning the lens.

MasterG, thank you very much! Cleaning did help - it works now :)

Strange that the error came only with CD-R and not with the others.
