We bought a new Qosmio DX730-10K, but it's touchscreen seems not to be working properly.

There is an elliptic area in the center of the screen (about 10 centimeters diameter) which is "dead".
In that area no touch is being sensed at all.

any help would be nice
greetings from germany

Hi

As far as I know its full touchable screen…
The optical touch screen has retro tapes on the left, right and bottom side of the screen.
The retro tapes are for identifying the point you touch by calculating the reflections of lights from the upper bezel.
You should keep the lcd bezel and retro tapes clean. Otherwise the touchscreen may not functions properly.
