Do you use OS that you got with your notebook?
What happen exactly?
I presume your notebook can detect WLAN properly, right?

Hi

Looking into this forum, found several threads about the same theme.
Solution: WLan driver update + disabling power saving future for WLan in Win 7 power options.

The notebook switches to another power plant using the battery.
So please check the settings for power plant using in battery mode.

…and don’t forget to update the WLan driver

I’m out of idea.
Did you use the latest WLan driver from here:
http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads

Did you also edit the power saving setting for the power plant which is used if the ac adaptor is disconnected?

Do also this:
Device manager -> WLan card -> properties -> power management tab
Here uncheck the option which allow the system to disable this device to save power.
