Satelite L750 does not switch to headphone automatically

I was messing around with the audio on the laptop, and now when i plug in a headphone into the jack socket the laptop will not switch automatically to the new output device.

The only way i have found out to switch it was to change it to the default audio, but i have to switch it back when I'm finished.

Is there anyway for it to switch when it discovers that a new output audio device is discovered.

Go to control panel -> Realtek HD audio Manger
In the top right corner, there's a little yellow folder called "Connector Settings”.
There, you can find setting "Enable pop-up dialog, when device is plugged in.
Plug in an headphones and select the option "headphone". Then the sound comes out only through the headphones

no it hasn't helped.

I don't seem to have Realtek HD audio Manager installed on my laptop.
But i have smartaudio installed.

I've tried looking in the settings but no of them worked

Hmm… possibly your sound card is different .
Try to uninstall the sound driver from device manager.
Then download the sound driver from the Toshiba European driver page and install it again.

Thanks that worked brilliantly.
All working now, it switches to headphones when it is inserted.
