Broken Battery PA3817U-1BRS

Hello all,

My Laptop told me my battery was broken and needed to be replaced
Well i've been searching voor a new battery but i can't find an original one

My battery ;

Toshiba Li-ion Batterij Pack
Model No. PA3817U-1BRS
DC 10.8V
4200mAh

Now i was wondering what battery i can use to be sure it will work!

Well i have an other problem also.
Sometimes my notebook just falls off :s

Could it be with the battery problem ?

If the notebook is connected to the AC adaptor, the notebook should not shut down even if the battery would be empty. In most cases the notebook shuts down automatically because of the high temperature.

All compatible parts, also the battery, can be ordered from an authorized service provider in your country

I can’t believe this. Put battery part number in Google and you will find numerous online stores where you can order it. Where are you living actually? Contact nearest Toshiba service provider and order new battery. They can order all you need and you will have original Toshiba parts.

I live in Belguim,
Wel thats kinda the problem i searched for a Toshiba dealer , and found one in my neighbourhood
i did send a email but i still didn't got an awnser from them :s
its been 2 weeks ago now

Well i've searched for a new battery but the mAh is always higher :s , i don't know if its good to go higher dan 4200

Hi

Higher mA value means stronger battery and this would allow you to use the notebook longer with battery power only.
So its better to have an stronger (higher mA) battery.
