Hello Friends

What happens is that while the mother is presenting machine blue screen shot, and since this started since I did a BIOS update, the question is to update the BIOS for NB305 netbook, but it seems I'm wrong on the model already I noticed that the machine was a 442BL, may be able to place the correct BIOS for the machine to me no problem, or there will be some form of downgrading the BIOS of the machine to which I had before I give the problems, Greetings

To be honest I didn’t understand your problem.
Where have you bought this notebook model? Usually on Toshiba support page for this country you should be able to find right BIOS update.

Hi

First of all the NB305-442BL is not known to me… I googled for this model number and could not find a model containing this series number. What NB305-xxx do you have exactly?

Secondly I think the BIOS is not the problem here. Usually it should not be possible to upgrade the BIOS if you would use not compatible BIOS version.
Usually you should get an message saying the BIOS is not compatible during the update procedure and the update procedure should be cancel automatically.

In your case I recommend settings the BIOS to default settings. Access the BIOS pressing F2 to get BIOS settings. Here press F9 to get default settings and then save the changes F10 before leaving the BIOS.

Furthermore the BSOD can be caused by software problems. Maybe the system is muddled up… did you try an fresh OS installation to ensure that the BSOD isn’t caused by system fault? Would be worth a check.

If I understand you right you have updated BIOS on this machine with wrong BIOS update. Can you please confirm this? Problem is that BIOS cannot be recovered.

Two guys asked one interesting question but you don’t react so I will ask it again: WHERE HAVE YOU BOUGHT THIS NOTEBOOK MODEL?

One more thing I don’t understand: what happen exactly when you press power button?
Can you see Toshiba welcome screen?
Can you enter BIOS settings?
Can you install OS?

You force this BSOD issue but maybe you should explain in which condition is your machine in general.

The machine is turned right, and leaves the toshiba screen at startup, the mishap is when I'm using the machine, suddenly the system pulls the blue screen work and restart the computer plays crushing the power button, not before passing this problem, but the problem appeared since I did the update of the Phoenix BIOS, the machine was purchased in USA, I entered the Bios and have placed the proper settings but just blue screen appears, also if I can install any operating system, that will be I can do to resolve this discomfort

Hi

You bought this unit in USA? Well, so I assume this is your notebook:

mini notebook NB305-N442BL

On this Toshiba US driver page you could find all drivers and all BIOS versions.
The latest BIOS seems to be v1.70 but also early versions are available…
Maybe this link can help you.

The Toshiba US driver page provides BIOS from v1.10 to v1.70
Each package can be downloaded… I assume the Win based version would not allow you to get back to a previous version so in such case you will need to update the BIOS using traditional update procedure.
In the package you can find a readme.txt file which you should read to get more info.

Dude… visit the Toshiba US driver page provided above.
Here choose BIOS in the “search”
Now click on the + near the BIOS title
The window providing all BIOS versions should flip open… there you will see all BIOS versions available for this series.

Friend I have found the previous drivers BIOS of the machine and have placed the oldest, now when you run it and start it in Windows, it suddenly becomes "extracting" and there does not pass, I tried several times but not out from there, is there anyway to load the previous BIOS preventing the machine to stay in that state before, Greetings

Other way? No… you need to extract the BIOS package firstly…
I cannot say for sure why this is not possible but I don’t think that the BIOS package is faulty…
The whole story sounds strange and I doubt its BIOS related issue… honestly if BIOS would cause this, all other NB305 owners should have the same problems but they don’t.
So in my opinion the its not BIOS issue. Maybe it was a bad luck that you got this BSOD straight away after BIOS update… who knows…

I think you should try new OS installation since BSOD might be software related issue.
If it’s not software related then your hardware is affected… but in such case its difficult to say what part might be affected…
