Yesterday I decided to set BIOS to defaults. After save and exit - black screen, U300 won't load, no TOSHIBA logo on the screen. Only lights can work.
I conclude that BIOS has broken. Today I tried to reflash it with Phoenix Bios Crisis Recovery 1.0.0.4, but with no success. Fn+B does not respond. Fn+F, Win+B, Win+F.. the same.
BUT! Because I did so many Power Off - Power On trials, there was some times that it actually loaded successfully. Let's say it starts 1 of 100 times. Once I entered in BIOS and tuned front logo (blue Satellite light on the front panel) to be disabled. Now every time I start the laptop, this logo is dark and that leads me to the conclusion that BIOS is OK, the system reads it's settings and turns the logo off.
Now it behaves the same way If remove RAM's, or use them. Works the same with RAM and without. But sometimes it starts successfully (with RAM of course).
When I turn it on, fan can spin for a while and shuts off after a second. If l eave it this way after some minutes it starts to spin again. If there is HDD inside - it's light turns on for 3-4 seconds and that's all. If there is a DVD inside - it spins like normal.
There is another problem with my laptop - sound doesn't work from months ago. Also, there was such cases in the past when my laptop stops to respond for a while, but after minutes everything was normal. This time... it denies to respond for a longer time and I don't know why.
Do someone know what happens with my U300?

Resolved.
On the previous day I was trying to fix my soundcard somehow, inside the laptop. It looks that some cable makes no good connection after that. I think it was the display cable.
Now the laptop works. I can get more successfull turn-ons now.

The reason was in sound card. I never thought that a simple sound card is capable to ruin the whole system. I disconnected the white cable that connects it to the mainboard, and now my laptop works every time.
