How to remove the BIOS password?

Good morning,
I'm new to this community, and I have a problem with my toshiba satellite.
When I boot my XP sytem, it asks me a password that I know, with which I enter my S.O and not BIOS.
When I do F2 or Esc and then F1, I enter the bios system utility but I don't know how to remove that password.
Can you help me to remove this password. BIOS version is 1.70. Is it possible that this is a user's password, and I cannot remove it, becausse I must have a supervisor password?
THanks
Francesco

Hi
Sorry mate but i think you will not be able to remove the unknown BIOS password.
The BIOS password which is not known to you can be removed only by an authorized Toshiba service agent.
So you will need to get in contact with ASP in your country to get this password removed.

But a question: what is the password, every time I enter my O.S., I must insert. Is it not the BIOS password? Because using this password I can enter system BIOS, I can change a user password, butr nothing. The password can be modified in security, but I don't see that section

The password, I insert every time, is user's password, the first one in the article, because it lets me enter O.S and work in the O.S. With that password, I can also enter the BIOS, using F2 and F1, but I have some restrictions. When I turn on my pc, after the first video, it asks me a password that lets me enter the O.S. (with that password, I can use F2 to enter BIOS but with some restrictions

Well, user password can be removed in using Toshiba Password Utility.
Go to All Programs -> Toshiba -> Utilities and check if such tool is available.
It should be also possible to access this tool via Toshiba Assist -> Protection tab
