I have seen a few threads around different places on people who swapped out the 1600x900 screen in the x775 with a 1080p version. I have not been able to find anyone that listed what exact screen they used.
One guy mentioned he got a screen for a Dell XPS17 and it worked great. I have the x775-q7170 and I love it except the screen is terrible. its like looking through a screen door.
Anyone on here who has done the swap and can list parts etc?
It seems that your Qosmio X775 has been equipped with an 17.3" HD+ TruBrite® LED Backlit display. This supports 720p content, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1600x900.
From my knowledge some of Qosmio X770 series supports the 17.3"(FHD) 16:9 display with an max resolution 1920 x 1080 for 3D Vision.
For example the Qosmio X770-10G or X770-107 supports such display. The display is from Samsung with part LTN173HT02 (or K000123120)
