Hi,
Can someone please help,
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite C660/C660D for my nephew, We have forgotten the administrator password and we don't have password reset disk is there anyway around this.

Hi
I assume you are talking about windows system password and not about BIOS password. Right?
It’s not very big problem if you forgotten the System password but if you mean BIOS password then you are in trouble because the BIOS password can be deleted just by an Toshiba ASP technicians…
So I assume you mean Windows password… so start the notebook and press F8
Now you can choose Repair my Computer and then choose HDD recovery.
This would start a HDD recovery procedure which would reinstall the system… during the setup you can set anther admin password.
Of course there are some other methods but as far as I know this requires 3rd party software/tools or Win 7 DVD… so I think the HDD recovery is the fastest solution.

Just share my experience here. I have forgotten my Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 login password
After tried many ways I searched online, I fortunately solved it with the [Windows Password Recovery Corporation finally. www.windowspasswordrecovery.net/article/toshiba-satellite-password-reset.html
It is easy and quick to help me DIY a password reset disk to recover my lost password. Then the PC is as it was.

To reset forgotten administrator password you can try the reset disk or free reset program.

Forgot your admin password? Don't worry! Since you don't have a password reset disk, I think the fastest and easiest way is to make use of a third-party tool. You can also try to re-install your system, if there isn't much data in your nephew's PC.

For most second-hand computer, most people will meet this problem. I think you can choose two tools to unlock your computer, Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
