urm this will be a weird one...
I have a new tosh laptop brought for me through the DSA scheme in the UK (i'm currently a student) and well the supplying company have removed the Toshiba install of windows and given me their custom one including setting i do not like - i would like to return this to a blank copy of windows or the tosh copy of windows but i don't have access to either currently it would seem.
I have downloaded a copy from
http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/8906-official-windows-7-sp1-disks/ burn it to disk but i get the error "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. if you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now." I have tried using all the drivers the ''support'' company had installed (into a partition/folder and told me about), but none work - have also tried changing the ACHI to IDE mode in the BIOS and that didn't help so changed it back. i have looked in tosh support but the drivers don't appear in the list.
I also have an automated win 7 32bit enterprise install on a USB from the days of working in corporate IT and studying for (70-680) this doesn't give me the error and allows me to install windows. (onto another partition for now). I don't want to use it as i don't own an enterprise licence and do own the OEM license with the laptop so would like to use it.
what do people suggest i do?
