Hard Drive Upgrade on Satallite L650

I wish to upgrade my Hard Drive and I was just wondering what is the right one for my system.
Plus will my recovery discs work to install windows 7 onto my new hard drive?

HDD upgrade should not be problematic. Important is that you use thr HDD with the same SATA connector.
Which one you want to buy?

Recovery disc can be used with new hard disc.

I brought the WD Scorpio Blue hard drive it works till it says this, windows Setup Could not configure Windows on this hard ware......

Hi

Usually any SATA 2.5” HDD should be compatible.
If you have inserted a new HDD, then try to format this before using the Toshiba Recovery disk… you can also use an Microsoft Windows disk in order to install Win 7 and the missing drivers could be downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page.

Please try to obtain original Microsoft installation disc and check what will happen if you use it.
I have installed recovery image on several upgraded HDDs on different notebooks and have never noticed something like this so it is mystery for me.
