I have Qosmio F60/033 which is now out of warranty by about 4 months and recently I have noticed that the Wifi light located at the front of laptop is always on regardless whether the laptop is turned on/off.
One thing I can confirm though when I press FN+F8 key I can turn on or off the wifi but that doesn't turn off the light. So I dont think it is to with the key bind must be something to do with the hardware?
Does anyone here knows about this problem with Qosmio F60/033 model? what could be the issue or how can this be resolved?
From my knowledge there is no hardware switch which would enabled or disable the WLan… so using the Fn + F8 should switch ON/OFF the Wlan indicator.
Did you test if Wlan driver installation or update would solve this indicator issue?
Try this out… but you said that Wlan can be enabled and disabled properly and only the LED is ON… it’s annoying but in my personal opinion it’s not really serious issue so you should not be afraid of this…
