I just bought a Laptop Toshiba Satellite C660D-1GR last Week :
Windows 7 Home Premium
AMD E-300 APU with Radeon (tm) HD Graphics 1.30 GHZ
AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics
Driver date 28/06/2011
Driver version 8.863.0.0
64 bit Operating system
Screen Resolution 1366x768
My old HP laptop has broken up, and I needed a laptop to practice my driver licence theory tests and hazard tests (videos)
I also regularly watches dvdrip tv shows.
The one thing I realized immediately was the really bad quality of the video resolution, I am watching the exact same videos than my old computer, I can even see the pixels ...
On some of the drivers hazards tests, I can't even recognize the details of the videos.
This is what I tried without any result
I tried downloading latest version of Directx
I tried other video players , VLC, Media Players
I tried updating the video driver
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver
Unfortunately all of this did not help
do you have any idea of what I should do now ?
Good question but not easy to give you proper answer. Obviously you make comparison between old and new notebook.
Out of curiosity but do both notebooks have identical display with identical native resolution?
If yes then I can understand your question but if not then I really don’t know what to say about it.
Put original DVD movie or start some HD video from YouTube and you will see that video resolution will be perfect.
I’m afraid this software you use s old and designed for PCs/Noteboks with old “standard” resolution of 1024x768.
