Yesterday i upgrade the bios from my qosmio x500 to 2.9 version, and since that the fan doesn't run fast when the cpu temperature grow.
When i for example look a film the Pc shutdown suddenly because the cpu temperature go over 100 degree.
I also have the X500 model with BIOS v2.9, and honestly there are no heating issues, try re-installing the BIOS once again, maybe something went wrong during your upgrade during the first time.
Set the BIOS to default settings firstly.
Go to BIOS (pressing F2) then press F9 to get default settings, then save up the setting pressing F10.
As far as I know its not possible to flash the BIOS again using the same version because BIOS will notify you that you’re using already the latest version
Furthermore use the display driver from Toshiba page.
