How do I watch 3D blu ray movies on Qosmio F750-1013X?

Hi people..just purchased Qosmio f750-1013x and its supposed to be 3D glasses free. I bought a 3d blu ray disc but the only player available on my notebook (toshiba blu ray disc player) does not even play the movie. It just loads up the starting part where you are supposed to select the subtitles menu but the subtitle menu does not even appear...what I see is just the background picture of the movie. I clicked on enable 3d on nvidia and also enable 3d on the player setting itself...

The xtunes application seems to be working fine as I can see it tracking my face.

Is it also possible to play any other 3d videos other than 3d blu ray disc? If so, can someone guide me?

Hi,

What is the movie title?

New titles have different Keys and it always takes time for the bluray players to catch up and support the new keys. Try updating the player to the latest version or try WinDVD with the latest web updates.

Hi Akuma,

Thanx for the reply...I bought Cars 2 blu-ray 3d...borrowed Pirates of the Carribean On Stranger Tides and found out that 3D works! Cool...guess for some reason Cars 2 3D disc just will not load up but the 2D version of it runs fine...n also found out that I can open other files as well by right clicking and choosing "open from" to open other files I have downloaded to test out...n that works too!

Anyway just to share with everyone, I installed a software "Wondershare video converter Ultimate" and it can convert any video files into 3D mp4 format so that means any files can b viewed in 3D although their quality will not be as good as a file already made in 3D Blu_ray format....which means my iphone videos can be converted to 3D lol....

One more thing...looks like the toshiba blu-ray player is unable to open video files of type "Matroska"...any idea how I can play those kind of files with it? When I play these files using a normal media player, these files are already in the "left right split image" to b viewed in 3D...any ideas how to watch these files using toshiba blu-ray player?

When I play these files using a normal media player, these files are already in the "left right split image" to b viewed in 3D

I assume the normal media player does not support the “side by side” or “interleaved” options like Toshiba Blueray player does.
But it seems that Toshiba Blueray player does not support the Matroska format therefore you would not be able to play such files using the Toshiba Blueray player.

Hi again,

Just found a way to work around this problem...I tried using the same converter I mentioned earlier and converted the Matroska file to MP4 HD. Then I tried using the toshiba blu-ray player to play and it worked and its in 3d..

Hopefully others may find this thread useful in playing 3D movies....
