HELP!!

Had problems using some websites online, so decided to restore the factory settings. This is where my problems started!!

Using the Toshiba Message Centre (I think that it is called) which is already on the Laptop...I tried to restore the laptop.

Immediately I pressed that button the laptop froze.

Now I cannot start up with windows.

I have rebooted -

Removed power cord, and battery and pressed power button for 30secs....and then attached all the parts and tried to start the laptop...and....

I get the Toshiba start up ....saying that I can use F2 or F12.....then....
nothing but a black / grey screen.....
and I can see my cursor....but nothing else.

It doesn't matter how many times I reboot....I just keep getting 'Windows Error Recovery'.
If I try
a. Launch starting repair (recommended)
or
b. Start Windows manually....

Nothing Happens!

Is there a Knight in Shining Armour who can help with English Maiden???

I don’t know what is wrong there but try please to reinstall OS using “standard” recovery procedure. How it works you can read on follow Toshiba document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

Does it work for you?

BTW: before you start OS installation enter BIOS and set it to default settings.

If HDD recovery does not work as posted by Feliks, then you should try the recovery using Toshiba Recovery disk… did you create such disk in the past?
If not, you can order such disk here: http://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
