Bonjour,

I use a Satellite Pro PC. When it starts a "balloon" in the system tray tells me something like "Wireless networks available". With ConfigFree / Summit I can see the name of my WLAN displayed. But when I try to display the list of WLAN available I get something like "No WLAN around" !!!! Everything else seems OK.
I tried everything: deactivate, uninstall WLAN card, update driver, ....... NOTHING !!!!

Please, anybody can prevent me to become crazy ?

Generally speaking there should not be any problem to use WLAN on your notebook. All you must do is to enable WLAN card, use Windows option to see all available WLANs and connect your favourite WLAN.

Can you please tell us which OS do you use? Do you use original OS that you got with your notebook or Win7 maybe?

Hi Papipo

Not sure what you are doing exactly but are you sure that you have configured the WLan properly.
First of all ConfigFree cannot be used to configure the Wlan.
If you are using Win 7 then you have to do this in Network & Sharing Center

Go to control panel and open Network & Sharing Center.
On the left click on Manage WLAN networks.
Now you can add the new WLan and can configure the access to the home WLan.
Insert right SSID, encryption and encryption password.

PS: be sure that WLan has been enabled properly. At the front side you have to move the WLan switch into ON position and additionally you have to use FN + f8 to enable the WLan.

I presume your WLAN card is not enabled properly.
Check device manager at first if WLAN card is listed and enabled there. After doing this check FN+F8 and be sure WLAN LED is ON.
