Performance for SKYPE .

I was recommended to replace my faithful R-100 a 1.1Ghz single core with 1.25Mb RAM with the NB520 duel core etc, after mobo troubles began.

I cannot begin to say how dissapointed I am with it.

After removing the bloatware from start-up, I can idle with 52 processes. W7HP
Cannot get any less.
This figure was 62 with AVG Internet Security running, but I have since sacked AVG, and stuck with MS Essentials.

Even still, I cannot make a SKYPE call Audio ONLY without firstly being warned that my pc is running slowly ! Battery or PSU

My R100 ran great even with a web-cam running !

The shop which I purchaced this craptop from is not interested, but offered to send it away at my cost ! Cheeky f88883rs.

I do not use the 'latest' program of skype for the 'auto-updated' that you cannot de-activate.
This is NOT the problem, as it still did not work correctly either.

Apart from stamping on this stress machine and loosing out ££££'s HELP PLEASE !!

Hi

Sorry mate but I don’t know what help do you experience from our community…
You says that your notebook is slow…

This notebook is equipped with an Intel Atom CPU and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150 GPU. The unit is designed for mobile usage. You can use it for office usage, mail check, internet browsing but its not designed for HD videos or gaming…
But skype calls should be definitely possible…

Well, in most cases the system could be slow due to many processes which are running in the background… you can try to install an fresh Windows 7 without the additional software and can check the system performance.
