Satellite Pro S300-117 PSSB0E Bios Recovery disk?

Hi I have a Satellite Pro S300-117 PSSB0E-04J00UEN and it appears that the BIOS has been corrupted when turned on the power lite Blinks 2 green and 2 orange

I am looking to be able to rewrite the BIOS using a usb floppy drive or a usb memory stick which emulates a floppy drive.

The problem is I can't locate the bios file containing the bios install diskette can anyone help?

also I believe that the key to hold/press when turning the power on is the one above the tab key but have also seen other keys such as F, FN F, F12 and ~. so any instructions would also be appreciated.

I could find a BIOS for this series on the Toshiba US driver page
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/downloadDetail.jsp?soid=2496404&pf=true

The zipped package contains the win based and dos based BIOS version.
Unzip this package and read the readme.txt

There you can find the details how to update the BIOS using diskette

Thanks PauPau,

i now have the bios disk have tried using the 'bios' key to boot from external usb floppy and usb flash drive but still no luck

the readme suggests that the bios key is the one immediately to the left of the space bar which is Alt on my keyboard I have tried the "¬" key as well any suggestions?

does anyone know what the power light blinking 2 green and then 2 orange means?

Hi

does anyone know what the power light blinking 2 green and then 2 orange means?

You should read the user manual page 186
If there is an error with memory slot A and B the power indicator would flash orange twice and then green twice.

So it seems that this is a memory problem. Either both modules are faulty or there is a problems with the slots on the motherboard.

PAUPAU,

My manual doesnt have any light combinations do you have a link to a pdf of the manual you have access to or is it also on the us support site?

Thanks Tonny,

I have now tried both the memory modules in a dell laptop and they work fine and I have tried the dells memory module in the S300 but with the same flashing lights 2 green 2 orange does it mean i have a problem with the mainboard?

dear sir ihave toshiba s300 pro laptop when i go to setup he showes page 1 and when i want to go page 2 by pressing page up and down its not work but keybord ok i use extrnal to kindly help me solve it my email is atifrehman1291@gmail .com
