Satellite A300-1MC: Would recovery restore to original system ?

The story so far...

Laptop failed (A300-1MC)

No recovery disk available
Replaced HDD
Installed Vista using borrowed recovery disk from earlier Toshiba Satellite model
Installed missing drivers => working system without valid product key
Connected old HDD using external usb enclosure
Launched original TRORDCLauncher on old drive - no errors

So now I apparently have 2 recovery DVDs.

Question: Will these DVD's restore to original system ?

The earlier Satellite had no TRORDCLauncher and came included with recovery disks

I am aware of correct procedure => order recovery disks from https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu

So now I apparently have 2 recovery DVDs.

Recovery disk would always set the notebook back to the same state like at the first day of purchase…

Thanks for the quick answer and just to clarify....

My concern was with my slightly unusual procedure for creating the recovery disks

Well, because of the unusual procedure it would be really interesting to know if the recovery disks functions…
Please post some feedback after you have tested this…

In the absence of any further information, I will certainly try to recover with the disks I made and post the result here.

But for now...

Has anyone tried a process similar to the thread head ?
