Portege R830 cpu over usage

Hi !

I've recently acquired your product Toshiba Portege R830 for 4 days, and i'm noticing some over usage by the cpu when i start the computer and a bit noise from the fan.

Is this normal in the computer ? Something related to the serie?

I've followed the advices given in other threads:

Update bios
update fingerprint driver

and seems not to work..

Should i change some bios settings ?

Plz can you make me clear about this topic ?

Hi

You could try to disable the fingerprint in device manager or simply remove the fingerprint software for some testing purposes.
Additionally please also check the table below regarding the recommended Power Plane settings:

1st Proposal:
Cooling Method: Maxim Performance
Intel Turbo boost Technology: Enable
CPU Frequency mode: Always low

2nd Proposal:
Cooling Method: Battery Optimized
Intel Turbo boost Technology: Disable
CPU Frequency mode: Always high

Here you can find the single options:

<Setting Method>
Changes in Operating System:
Control Panel --> Power Options --> Change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings --> TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings --> Cooling Method

Changes in Bios (Power Management):
Intel Turbo boost Technology

Changes in Operating System:
TOSHIBA HW Setup --> CPU Frequency mode

I've tested the settings...my cpu keeps processing like 100% when i just have google chrome, notes, msn and task bar open when i start the computer...

Intel® Core™ i3-2330M / 2.20 ghz
Graphic: Intel HD 3000
4g ram
500hdd 7200 rpm

what process is on top by using cpu? (task manager - process tab - show process from all users - sort by cpu usage)
