Equium L40 -10U Windows Vista 32 bit.

I had a problem with the HDD (MK1237GSX 120GB) & I replaced it with MK2576GSX-250GB)

I have an original Toshiba Product Recovery disc but I cannot reinstall the s/w.

Initially Windows loads and then “diskpart” seems to be installed OK.

The installation hangs at “Image X for Windows”
I get Error 23 c:\programfiles\adobe\reader 8-------- Read data failed.
Image X could not apply Vista F:\05468XSP.swm Index 2 to C:\!

In addition the Administrator screen shows:
Failed to initialise the Raid class.
NO RIAD continually normally

I would appreciate any help to fix this problem.

Thanks,

Jim

I get Error 23 c:\programfiles\adobe\reader 8-------- Read data failed.

The error says that an data could not be read from the recover disk.
It looks a little bit like a Recovery disk fault.

Are you able to install the Windows OS using other bootable Windows disks? For example Win XP, Win 7, Vista?
If you are able to format the HDD and to install Windows using other disks, then the fault is related to the recover disk.
