Wireless communications doesn't work on Equium

Can anyone help me? I've tried the wireless switch on my actual laptop and also fn+f8 but nothing happens!? I really need the Internet for studying at uni...... Help please!

Can you please tell us which Equium notebook model do you have and which operating system do you use?
Do you use own OS version or original Toshiba recovery OS that you got with your notebook?

I still use the original toshiba recovery OS that came with the notebook.
( windows vista home premium)

Sorry but I don’t understand this.
Is WLAN card installed and listed properly in device manager?
Are you able to activate WLAN card or not?
Is FN+F8 option available or not?
Is WLAN LED on?
Can you scan the area using ConfigFree radar option?
