I need a Microsoft Vista Product Key

HI,

i need a Microsoft Vista Product Key i do not have any disks or original box and the sticker is unreadable,
I have serial number of the laptop if this is any help.

Hi

Toshiba image is preinstalled on Toshiba notebooks and the Windows OS was already activated… the serial key which was placed at the bottom of the unit belongs to this preinstalled OEM version and does not work in connection with other Windows versions…

If you didn’t create the recovery disk in the past or if you lost the disk then you will need to order the recovery disk. This page should help you:

Generally speaking this product key at the bottom is useless for you. This key belongs to original Toshiba recovery image created for your notebook model. With other words: every new notebook is delivered with preinstalled OS and when you buy notebook the price includes licence for preinstalled OS. Evidence for this is product key on Microsoft sticker.

Please note: this key is not a kind of universal key that can be used for every Microsoft OS preinstalled on your notebook.

I have the same problem, have everything except the number in my hand - and i need to reinstall the system on my computer.

If i use recovery disk it won't ask me to write the number once again? if so i will need it - and there the problem begins.

If you use recovery disc you will not be asked to enter product key. Original recovery image that you got with your notebook is already activated. You can use this disc 1000 times and every time OS will be activated properly.

Just in case that you want to install OS using original Microsoft installation disc you need valid product key for OS activation.
