Hello Every One

I want to install Windows XP Professional to my laptop Satellite M645 S4055 but fail to do so. During initial setup it gives blue screen.

Presently Windows 7 Professional Installed.

I upgrade BIOS 1.90 version also available on toshiba website.

Please give me a solution.

Hi

I assume you didn’t include the SATA driver to the Win XP CD.
The point is that Win XP needs a additional SATA driver in order to be able to recognize the HDD which is connected to the SATA controller.

You should check your chipset and should download the Intel Storage Manager driver from Intel page which would support your chipset!

BSOD's can be caused by anything, what is the BSOD STOP Code?

If it's 0x0000007B, you need to use SATA drivers on a floppy disc.
