What exactly is your problem? The framerate breakdown? downgrade your BIOS to 1.1 version and the lags will disappear. Read this thread to find out how to downgrade it!

Hello guys,
this problem is unsolvable.. because BIOS v 1.10 is without GPU THROTTLING but GPU TEMP. is so HIGH max 93 degrees- now is VGA shutdown and IS STILL FREEZE. BIOS V 1.4 therefore new BIOS to solve problem of overheating.... ,, BUT " GPU temperature is no HIGH but FPS goes down therefore is GPU Throttling.
QOSMIO X770 is expensive players notebook but unresolved for cooling.... NOT APPLICABLE for all players and users.

i cannot agree with this statement, as im running bios 1.1 with afterburner on mu gpu set to 900/1800/1600 with a zalman cooler for my laptop and i get 75-78 celsius while gaming for 2-3 hours of battlefield in 1080p.. so, maybe try getting a cooler for your qosmio

Hello blob,
I dont know what I mean try a cooler for my laptop, but try the new version of FurMark test - 93 degrees after 20 minutes and VGA goes down. This isnt problem of cooler, this is structural problem X770 does not cool and that's a fact! 1.4 BIOS it solves but throttling VGA .

I'm playin it at 925/1850/1500 for 4 hours and the highest i got is 74 'C but i'm not playing in 1080p, i'm playin at 720p with all on high and AA deffered off.
I downloaded the latest beta nvidia drivers 290.53 and the brightnes adjust(Fn+F6, Fn+F7) stoped working. Who has downloaded these drivers please check for your brightnes adjust function.

Guess what guys... there is a new version of bios available for download(1.60), and the throttling still remains! This is deffinitely the last toshiba laptop i bought!!!

There are some great news.
Yasir Habib reported on the Toshiba Support Europe Facebook page that this BIOS update works in connection with the nVidia 290.53 beta drivers

I have tested it! yes, the GPU still throttles!! But i tried with the 285.62, not the 290.53 drivers, but honestly, i dont think that there will be much difference...

Well you can thank me for saving your time not to update your qosmio))
This BIOS is almost the same... even with the latest 290.53 the throttling is there! There is a little difference though: I have tested 3 applications: the 3DMark06, MSI Kombustor benchmark and the GTA 4! Well with the default GPU clocks the first 2 benchmarks went well without throttling, but GTA 4 after 10 minutes of gameplay throttled even at the default GPU clocks! Of cource when i overclocked the GPU , the throtling appeared after 5 seconds in all three applications. So this bios maybe set some different way to throttle the GPU i dont know, but i cant play with this bios.
Dissapointed again( going for downgrade...

i have got the bios 1.60 now and played metro 2033 and stalker: call of pripyat on 1920 x 1080 (HD) with maximum details for 20 minutes WITHOUT throttling.
That's good! but there's one fact i still cannot understand.
Why does it still throttle with the benchmark "furmark"?
