I have a toshiba satellite c660 laptop and windows 7(32 bit) is installed on it. Recenntly i installed following utility drivers on it

1)Bluetooth Monitor-v4.07 for windows 7
2)Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba-v8.00.03(T) for windows 7

The bluetooth is functioning properly but the problem is when i right click on the system tray bluetooth icon and select disable bluetooth function it turns off (turns red) for few seconds only and turns on again automatically.I don't want to keep my bluetooth on all the time i want to turn it on only when i need it.

so is there any way by which i can turn on/off the bluetooth at my will?

any help will be appreciated.thank you

Hi

Usually you can disable and enable the Bluetooth functionality using the FN + F8 key combination.

Try that!

Do other FN buttons work or just the FN + F8 function does not work for you?
If other FN buttons don’t work, then you should install the VAP and the Flash Card Support utility to get the FN button functionality. Then you should be able to use the FN + F8.

VAP = Value added package. This is Toshiba package that contains several different tools:
  • Toshiba Components Common Driver
  • Toshiba Utilities
  • Toshiba PC Diagnostic Tool
  • Toshiba Power Saver
  • Toshiba Button Support
  • Toshiba Zooming Utility
  • Toshiba Flash cards
