Hi,

My new Satellite Pro S500, age: 2 hours have just performed the "start up" and installed all drivers. My first step was to go to windows update and update the different security patches, etc. Windows identified 74 updates - and I let the laptop perform the download. It installed approx. 15% and automatically rebooted. The laptop started up, installed approx 30% and rebooted.

Now the laptop has freezed at the "Toshiba - Leading Innovation" frontpage. If I try to turn off the laptop it turns to sleep mode - and returns to the "Toshiba" page again.

Any ideas of how to get out of this loop?

Thank you in advance
B

Hey,

And have you already tried to remove the battery and AC/DC adapter? Try this and leave both disconnected for at least one hour.

Then install battery and connect AC/DC adapter and try to start your notebook again. Does it past the Toshiba BIOS screen now?

I agree with TwoLags.

Leave notebook without power supply for a while and try to start it again.
If possible enter BIOS and set it to default settings.
Please post some feedback.
