Satellite L450D - What HDD can I use?

Going to try a hard drive from a desktop pc in this, will it work or do laptops have different hard drives?

Hi,

Desktops have larger 3.5" drives, which won't fit in Notebooks since they use smaller 2.5" hard drives.

Hi buddy,

Desktops and notebooks have different HDDs. Desktop HDDs are larger (3.5”) and notebooks using 2.5” only. On Wikipedia there is a nice article about HDDs:

Satellite L450D supports already SATA HDDs so you need a new 2.5” HDD with SATA interface.
