Error during recovery installation

About a few weeks ago I bought a recovery dvd for windows vista. Till today I didn't need to install it. Todya I tried to install the dvd but I did get an error.

This error was reading: Warning C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\prnca001.inf_92fbd03f\I386\CNBP_192.DLL.

Retry Restoring again... <GLE=0>
Error restoring image
Te file of directory is corrupted and unreadable.
Error: ImageX could not apply Vista v:\HDDRecovery\SWImg\08603XSP.swm
Index 2 from HDD+0 C:!

Does it mean that the Revcovery DVD is corrupt?

Hi Molema,

According the error message it looks like the recovery disk is not working properly and the file can’t be read or is corrupt…

To make sure it’s a recovery disk malfunction test a normal Microsoft Windows disk. If installation works it seems that the recovery disk is defective

I agree with Xardas. It looks like the recovery disk is defective

But theoretically it could be HDD related so test also a normal Microsoft disk.

I have the same problem. Tested on my Toshiba laptop and virtual on a desktop. I cannot install the Dutch recovery, English recovery goes well!
I sended the DVD back to Toshiba and recieved new DVD's, but same problem!

Come on, Toshiba!
