Hi all,

I am looking for the DOWNLOAD LINK of HDD Recovery for my new laptop Toshiba L630.
I've read in several posts and manuals that it should be already on my hard disk.
But it's not on my hard disk, in case it's connected with system restore, I've even created a system restore disc, but there's no trace of any HDD Recovery Utility.

This is the file list create

Hi

The HDD recovery cannot be downloaded.
You cannot download the recovery disk as well.

Usually the HDD recovery should be available on your notebook and you should be able to start this pressing F8 at the beginning of the booting.
Simply said: power up the unit, press F8 immediately after the notebook has been powered up… maybe you will need to press F8 several times in the row…
Then choose Repair my Computer and then you should see the HDD recovery option.

If this is not available (no matter why…) then you should create a recover disk using the tool called Recovery disk Creator which should be preinstalled on the notebook.

If you are not able to create the recovery disk then you could order this from here:

I can just confirm what MasterG wrote. Recovery image is not downloadable and if you need it you must order Toshiba recovery DVD disc for your notebook model. MasterG already posted the link where you can order it.

Your notebook’s configuration is not known to me but every Toshiba notebook is delivered with preinstalled OS and also with saved recovery image on “non-visible” partition.
You can start OS installation using HDD recovery option - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

What you should do is to create recovery DVD using preinstalled “Toshiba recovery media creator”.
That’s all.

If you have more questions you are welcome.

pressing F8 as u suggest, i got a message like "No HDD Recovery unit found".

I have posted two issues that look both to be without solution. I am seriously considering to give back my laptop. Could we somehow keep in touch through Skype or Msn before?

As I said above: if the HDD recovery is not found then you have to use recover disk…if this is not possible, then you need to order it :(

There is no other solution!
