Satellite Pro C660-144 has unknown devices

Hi,
I have recently got a notebook (as in the title) and separate from that Windows7 Pro (not installed). I have installed the software and some drivers downloaded from the Toshiba support site. Majority of the devices are working, but I still have some problems:
- webcam not recognized
- Ethernet adapter not recognized
- at least one unknown device left
Windows7 states in system information:
Nem érhető el ACPI\TOS1900\2&DABA3FF&1 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Nem érhető el ACPI\TOS6205\5&3956218&0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Unknown Device USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\5&3A0BAA18&0&6 43
(nem érhető el = not accessible)
Please inform me:
- what are these devices
- which driver or supporting package is necessary for them.
Many thanks in advance,
Vince

As I can see what you are missing is webcam driver, LAN driver and, I think, Bluetooth.
Which OS version do you use (32 or 64bit)?

I use 32 bit version.
I have downloaded, unpacked and run the webcam driver install pack (webcam-20101004163904.zip), but it did not help.
Best regards,
Vince

What is with other two drivers?
Is your webcam installed properly? Check it please in device manager (imaging device).
What is the problem with webcam? You cannot install it properly or you cannot start Webcam application?

Hi Andrei,
in fact, I do not care too much about bluetooth. My Samsung phone has data cable, so bluetooth is not a hot topic for me.
The LAN driver package (lan-20101111150440.zip) was also downloaded and executed, but you see the result. I am on the net via my home wi-fi network. It is strange, since I thought that Ethernet should be easier than wi-fi.
As for the webcam: Skype does not find it.

Hi,
my previous reply has lost in space. So once more:
- Bluetooth is not a hot topic for me at the moment, since my Samsung phone has data cable
- I have downloaded and executed the LAN package (lan-20101111150440.zip) but it did not help at all
- Skype does not recognize the webcam of my notebook
Best regards,
Vince

I can cry when I see that people don’t read my postings and don’t answer my question.
Is your webcam installed properly? Check it please in device manager (imaging device).
Clear question, right? And why you write now about Skype?
At first we should see if cam is recognized by system and not by some third part application.
If you don’t use BT you can disable this device in device manager or simply ignore it.
I have downloaded and executed the LAN package (lan-20101111150440.zip) but it did not help at all
What does it mean exactly? Is LAN card still listed as unknown device in device manager?
By the way: have you installed chipset driver at first immediately after Windows7 installation?

Dear Andrej,
don't be so angry, read your previous post carefully instead:
"What is the problem with webcam? You cannot install it properly or you cannot start Webcam application?"
Clear questions, right? I answered them correctly: "Skype does not find it"
So what is the point?
Anyway, thanks for the tip with the chipset driver. I will do it soon.
In fact, I tried to find a How to install Win7 on your Toshiba notebook guide, but I have not found any. Maybe I was not patient enough, not used the correct search phrases. If you could send a link to a guide I would follow the installation steps.
Best regards, have a nice day,
Vince

Dear Tony,
as you see in my original post I tried to follow the steps in the guide you suggested. However, the format of the device identifiers are different to those that are in the guide. That's why I asked for some help.
Best regards, have a nice day,
Vince

- ACPI\TOS6205 is Bluetooth
- ACPI\TOS1900 seems to be Mass Storage Device. Try to install Intel Storage Manger.
- Unknown Device USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\5&3A0BAA18&0&6 43 could be webcam… Install the Chicony webcam software…

Tonny,
almost all problems were fixed installing several drivers and utilities from the product specific program list, only one issue stays unresolved: the built-in webcam does not work, and there is an unknown device in the USB list on the Device Manager screen.
In an earlier post Andrei asked what does the Device Manager show about the webcam. Nothing, absolutely nothing. The "imaging device" class does not exist at all. You suggested to install a webcam software. I have one piece (Technika), I installed its attachment sw, checked the Device Manager - and there was one imaging device, namely the external webcam.
So the consequence is: the integrated webcam hardware is not recognized, despite that I have installed its driver and checked the whole notebook with Toshiba supplied utilities.
Maybe the hw is wrong. If there is no more idea, I shall find a Toshiba service point and let them to check my PC.
Best regards, thanks for the tips,
Vince
