You need some kind of utility to enable the custom Toshiba functions.

Usually in Windows Vista and 7, its the Value Added Package, but for XP you need Common Modules and/or a Wireless Hotkey utility.

XP is being phased out by Microsoft this year, so it may be difficult to find compatible XP drivers for the new Models.

Is there a reason you need XP?
Windows 7 has an "XP Mode" that runs XP inside of Win7 using a virtual machine.
You can use XP Mode to run programs that have problems running in Win7.

Hey,

Have you tested other FN key combination or does only FN+F8 not work?

If only the WLAN on/off switch doesn’t work it could be related to WLAN driver… Is the WLAN card in device manager listed properly or do you see a yellow exclamation mark?

On official Toshiba website you can download newest WLAN driver for XP and your model. Furthermore Common Modules you can also download that you need for FN keys:

Hi
Thank you for replays.
Originally it did not work only Fn + F8, Fn worked regularly with other combinations.
I solved the problem by installing the Hotkey Utility for XP (downloaded from the Toshiba website).
