Problem with 500 Gb Stor.e Steel external hard Drive

Hi,

I´ve bought an external hard drive Store.e Steel 500 Gb and I cant get large files (like 4 Gb) wit it. There is a message that says that the file is larger than the system suports every time I try to get a 4 Gb file, but I have 300 Gb free.
What wrong?

it depends what file system (format) is used... NTFS allows more than 4Gb files

I agree with user plancke.
The HDD file format seems to be FAT32… you will need to format the HDD in NTFS format to be able to handle files bigger than 4GB.
