Camileo pro hd camcorder sound problems

I bought this and hve nev really used it till now .
The problem i have is that when i record video there is no sound coverage.
It requires a load noise to instigate the recording say a hand clap or cough near the mic.
Can anyone help?

Hi

Please check if the mic settings are set to the highest value.
Furthermore you should ensure that you didn’t cover the mic while recording…
I did this accidently using my cam and had no sound after that…
